A mindful Forest Bathing session to awaken your senses and connect with nature
Service Description
Saturday 7th February 2pm - 3:30pm Theme: 'New Buds: Noticing the Start of New Growth Around Us' Join me in the woods at the start of February to connect to nature and notice any small new growth happening around us. February is a time for change, as we will start to move into slightly warmer days, glimmers of spring will start to show...what will the spring bring for you this year? I will set gentle forest bathing invitations to help you engage with your senses and explore the woodland around you. We will notice the cycles of nature around us, taking note of how our bodies and minds feel during the winter months, and consider how we can honour our feelings through being mindful in our daily approach to our lives. The wooded area at The Avon Centre is a beautiful, safe surrounding for you to consider how you are feeling and how you are connected to nature. Forest bathing helps to reduce stress and anxiety, increases NK cells (the cells that kill disease in our bodies) and promotes on-going well-being. See my Forest Therapy page for more info on the research into the benefits of Forest Therapy. https://www.charlottehawke.co.uk/foresttherapy This is open to everyone, especially anyone who has experienced anxiety or low mood and is interested in building a toolkit to help improve your own well-being. I am running this session at a reduced rate with the aim of covering my costs of site hire and materials. Please consider paying it forward if you are able to, this will help me be able to offer more free spaces in the future. Please note: There is a shelter if the weather is awful, but we will be embracing the elements as part of our experience! Please wear good footwear and dress accordingly for the weather - bring waterproofs, in case it rains. Sessions are 1.5 hours long and finish with a hot drink and an opportunity to reflect in a group. Please arrive 10mins early, if possible, to use the facilities and allow for time to get the space. How to find The Avon Centre: Car: Use address below. There is plenty of parking. There is an entrance to the woods opposite the gravel car park. Head down the path - ahead you will see a fenced area with a gate - please meet me inside there.
