Workshops and Community Work

Working within the community has had a huge influence on me. I have met inspirational people who have been through the most challenging situations and have always found positivity and new hope to drive themselves forward. In times of my own self- doubt, it was this thought that helped me to challenge myself by doing a PGCE and starting to teach in more traditional education settings.

The creative arts face challenging times with less and less emphasis being placed on them in schools and colleges, and with community groups losing funding for their services. At the same time we are seeing how the arts can support individuals and communities to access support and work to their own personal developmental targets.

I have put a selection of photo albums on this page showing outcomes of workshops I have developed, and some short text explaining the social and creative aims of the session and organisation.

Please contact me if you're interested in providing creative workshops for your organisation. Creative workshops can be tailored to your organisation and can involve printmaking, photography, drawing and painting - and can be created to suit any age.

I have a portable printing press that can be used for mono printing and dry point etching workshops, and is able to be transported to any venue.

Previous workshops have been created for;

  • St Mungo's

  • art + power

  • UWE

  • BBC outreach

  • International Women's Day events (Bristol City Council)
