Summer Sunlight Wellbeing Session

Saturday 5th July Nature Connection, Drawing and Mono-printing to Capture the Beautiful Summer Light

2 hr 30 min
35 British pounds
The Avon Centre (Forest area)

Service Description

During the first part of the session you will be invited to connect with your senses through forest therapy invitations, this can help you to slow down, consider how you are feeling in your body and mind, and consider your place within nature. The art workshop that follows will give you the opportunity to capture the beautiful summer light and shade of the forest through drawing and monoprinting techniques. I hope that your newly awakened senses will enjoy finding a sense of creative flow during this workshop! The workshop is set within the beautiful woodland at The Avon Centre, Bristol. There is a shelter if the weather is awful, but we will be embracing the elements as part of our experience! During colder weather we can have a fire to warm us. Forest therapy has been proven to increase the NK cells needed to fight disease and improve mental health. Many find being in nature, especially amongst trees, helps reduce stress and anxiety. (More info on this on my Forest Therapy page https://www.charlottehawke.co.uk/foresttherapy). Please wear good footwear, dress accordingly for the weather and bring waterproofs, in case it rains. 10:30-13:00 (2.5hrs) How to find The Avon Centre: Car: Use address below. There are toilets in the main building if you want to use them before the session. Head into the double doors, then take a left down the corridor and it is signposted.
