Service Description

Tuesday 6th August 10:30-12:30 Forest therapy invitations will invite you to connect with your senses and consider how you are feeling within your body and mind. These sessions have been proven to improve physical and mental health, but they also allow you to tap into an on-going connection to nature that can be useful in times of stress or ill health in the future. See my Forest Therapy page for more info on the research into the benefits of Forest Therapy. https://www.charlottehawke.co.uk/foresttherapy The Creative workshop that follows will use your newly awakened senses to experience how art can help you build a sense of ‘flow’ that has been proven to enhance mental well-being. You’ll have a lovely piece of art to take home, and will build creative ideas of what you can do in your own time! This session is open to everyone, but especially parents with babies who may appreciate the time to connect with body and mind through calming Forest Therapy invitations. We will explore our landscape for natural items and create a series of beautiful nature-inspired collages, collaborating on ideas (perhaps with your baby!) We will adapt and respond to the needs of your baby during this session. You may wish to use a baby carrier as the path is uneven going into the woods. Please message me if you need any assistance or have any worries and we can make a plan! We will finish the session with a hot drink and fire (in winter months!) The workshop is set within the beautiful woodland at The Avon Centre, Bristol. There is a shelter if the weather is awful, but we will be embracing the elements as part of our experience! Please wear good footwear and bring waterproofs, in case it rains. 10:30-12:30 (2hrs) How to find The Avon Centre: Car: Use address below. There is plenty of parking.
