Music throughout the Ages, 2016 - 2017

I absolutely love music illustration- the range of design in album covers always inspired me as a teenager.

2016 brought a loss of legends in the music industry and I started absent-mindedly doodling their iconic images in sketchbooks.

​

After buying myself my first silk screen I decided to develop these sketches into stencils for screen-printing.

My most recent method of display if with light-boxes- the layering of prints and paper-cuts works really well to create a sense of depth and intrigue into the background shapes and colour.

​

The final outcome is a series of prints called ' Little Print of Little Prince', which vary due to the monoprint base layer and the papercut layer behind. These are now on sale in my Etsy shop.

Peru, 2013 - 2016

In 2013 I travelled to South America. Peru was my first stop, and my first insight into the incredible history of the Inca people.

 

​

This work covers a range of recording my thoughts, ideas and emotions on landscapes and people in Peru. I have used various drawing and printmaking processes that enhanced aspects of these experiences - such as collagraph techniques to explore the many beautiful textures that can be seen in the landscapes.

​
